Day 1... 59 to go

The great thing about Crossfit is that you can really do it anywhere- there are plenty of exercises where it is nice to have a gym to be able to go to, but my mission here to stay focused on Crossfit and the goal of super fitness while doing all the exercises here at my home.

I have a few things to help:
A jump rope : Free from a festival I went to in Seattle
Floor: included in the house, great for doing sit ups on
A pull up bar : A no-name brand of the Door Gym. This cost me $39 at Walmart and came with ab wings for doing hanging knee lifts.
Tabata Timer: I ordered this online for $22. I figure any exercises I want to do I can add tabata and turn it up that way. www.gymboss.com I got mine in pink. (course)

I am looking forward to getting a kettlebell, but for the first week I'll do some WODS that I can do with what I already have.
And I probably need a band for that pull up- gheesh. Pathetic.

Now... I have taken all my measurements and I'll let you know what the outcome is at the end, but at this point there is no reason for you to know the circumfence of my right thigh. I'm just sayin...

Todays workout:
10 Push ups
10 Sit ups
10 Squats
10 rounds for time: 10:47 and some bloody knees later... I guess I have to get a mat for my dumb knees during the pushups.... although maybe that will help get me off my knees and onto my toes.

  1. So, tell me. Disd you 10 rounds of those in the 10:47 or is that the time for each round. Is the idea to do high intensity in a short time?

  3. Girl, I am going to try...no, do this...I just found your blog from FB, so I will run about two days behind you as it is already 11:23pm. No tools yet, but hey, the three activities you listed need nothing but me!

  4. OH MY GOSH! I love that! If you want to know what i'm doing or have a question on the exercises, email me or go to www.crossfit.com and they have video examples. Sometimes its good to see how those are done.. .like the sit ups are butterfly situps- feet together.... i'll try and describe it more in the blog! Good Luck!
