I got my tabata timer in the mail! I am SO excited! So today it will be a tabata workout!
If you are wondering what Tabata is... go to the link on the side there... yes, right there, no no.. to the right of this.... yes! Click on that and it will tell you all about it. You can do tabata with anything you were going to do: Run, Squats, whatever!
Today's work out is Tabata dumbbell thrusts. Now.. I only have 10 pound dumb bells so that's what I'm going to have to use. If you want to see what this exercise should look like go here. I'm using my www.gymboss.com tabata timer... totally worth the $$. (but now that I think of it.. I bet there's an app for that!) My reps was 8 (that's correct, right Laura? I count just my lowest set?)
Having goals of what you want to accomplish is really important. Sometimes it's a feeling, or a pair of jeans you want to fit into. For me, I have lots of things but this picture sums it up for me. It's on my wall at home.. on my frig... as my computer wallpaper.. is it how I will look in 60 days? Maybe not quite but it's a start! Hard to reach a goal if you don't know what it looks like!
yes! Tabata is 8 rounds, and only count the lowest set. Or, if you want to guage your progress a different way total the whole 4 minutes. I usually pick 5 exercises...push, pull, core, back or whole body, and cardio. Remember to spend some time working on your weaknesses every workout day! :-) Love ya Betsy!
